Police bullying down-Under

 I was charged with failing to use a push bike helmet, resisting arrest, and causing a public disturbance, on 20 Sept outside Cairns Central on a sunny day, really?

I was riding home minding my own business, when I was halted in my tracks by a person in a Police uniform not wearing a hat.

I was a tad annoyed at the exposure of children to UV with poorly designed  plastic bike helmets, (not recommended for use outdoors)
There the Bicycle helmet law breaches are far more serious law as in s326 cc Old
He said you must wear a helmet? I said at work? go away, wheres your hat?
I must wear a sun hat, I'm on my way home from work, so outdoors in the workplace.

I am gathering data for the case, about to proceed with a plea. However just as I would not recommend conducting my own opp in a Hospital, and any attempt at attaining justice without  legal representation would result in an appeal.

We are however not here to discuss guidelines nor codes of conduct. We are here to discuss  Law, specifically the road and transport act that requires all recreational cyclists to use a helmet outdoors in the sun?.

the Charges as far as they relate to the Law in this jurisdiction and the likely outcome If am not privileged to be able to afford fair representation could be bleak.

Criminal code: Queensland Consolidated Act  Children cannot be required to use them due to the danger of skin cancer.
