Poem not 4 gentle hearts

It's not for Gentle hearts.

They switched the flight path back she said
and they turned the fountain down
Then she took me from my morning bed
to see the laughing clown
 
And where the come sigh flashes on
that's where the danger starts
And where have all the young girls gone?
It's not for Gentle hearts
 
The night is split by neon suns
a thousand turned on signs
No one but the pidgin runs
and the snow it falls in lines
 
The hard eyed ladies stand in pairs
the guys walk hand in hand
It's 100 dollars up the stairs
and Alice pays for wonderland
 
Black dots before their vacant eyes
the kids lean on the bar
and bearded wire faces rise
around the nova star
 
Calling voices follow you
from slowly moving cars
and sirens run the evening through
a tune played in 2 bars
 
Dawn light see's it still alive
coupled strangers part,
newly hopeful souls arrive,
but it's not for gentle hearts.
