A Win for me and all cyclists in the suburbs. I recently had a melanoma removed from my chest. My long running fight against Bicycle helmet laws DownUnder is not about hating bicycle helmets, it's about the risk of skin cancer being greater than that of head injuries for cyclists. Pedestrians do not have to use a helmet yet they have a higher fatality rate than cyclists. (indicates bias) I was arrested dozens of times for resisting police who spotted me cycling with my sunhat, and put in jail for going armed to cause fear. I get attacked by police and pepper sprayed for refusing to use a helmet on a bicycle? when I am just trying to protect my face from the sun with the recommended Sun hat mentioned in the outdoor safety workplace laws. So I carry a Stanley utility knife for protection. When I went to the local paper they tried to throw me out. I showed the reporter what I have to carry for protection and they called the police and said we have a situation. If you want to interview me get in touch.
